We have developed three unique and equally capable hull profiles at Boulder Boat Works all specifically designed to tackle unique on water scenarios and fishing programs.

The River Skiff

The River Skiff, our newest addition, was designed out of necessity to combine exceptional stability and immense interior space with the nimble nature required for river navigation. This hull is dubbed the Stable Specialist—ideal for those who demand predictable tracking and maximum real estate without sacrificing the ability to maneuver when necessary.

River Skiff Overview - The Stable Specialist

    Slower tailwater rivers, still water applications, areas with prevalent wind, and rivers where tracking and holding a straight line is a priority.

    Excellent for accommodating large amounts of gear, multiple passengers, and situations where maximum interior comfort and stability are required.

  • Immense Interior Space

    The unique blunt nose design, long centerline (16'4"), and widest beam (78" at the oarlocks) open up the interior, providing the most spacious boat in our fleet. You get maximum real estate for gear, large coolers, or your favorite boat dogs.

  • Versatile Predictability

    The specialized rocker added to the skiff bottom provides the versatility to be highly predictable when tracking straight, yet still capable of handling reasonable wave trains and lateral movements on faster-flowing rivers.

Our skilled craftsman cut, weld, and scrape a polymer hull by hand with scraping tools to produce one of the toughest, best looking boats on the river. Then, interior components are made by hand right here in Carbondale, CO. The result of our relentless attention to detail is the world’s ultimate drift boat.
